From the motorhome it looked as though sand was smoothly swirling around pink/red rock formations along the shore at Langs Beach – Waipu Cove, North Island New Zealand.
Having a closer look, it was actually a type of seaweed or algae, very fine in texture, covered in whispy little bits, strung together like a soft lacy fish net – quite fascinating to say the least.
Lang’s Beach really takes me back. My mother used to holiday there every summer with her family growing up – the stories she would tell us! I loved Lang’s Beach long before I ever got to go there myself 🙂
